Satellite-derived ground movement analysis is powerful evidence — within limits that this page states plainly. A version of this statement accompanies every report.

Measurement uncertainty

All satellite-derived outputs are estimates subject to uncertainty arising from measurement noise, atmospheric effects, processing choices, viewing geometry, and reference framework. Reports state the confidence attaching to their conclusions; results should not be treated as more precise than the stated uncertainty supports.

Data dependence

Results depend on the quality, density, and temporal coverage of available satellite data over the specific site. Some locations, surfaces, and periods cannot be analysed reliably, and achievable precision varies between and within sites. Where data are insufficient, this is reported rather than papered over.

Not a substitute for professional assessment

Reports produced by WorldNerve do not replace structural, engineering, geotechnical, geological, legal, insurance, or field-based assessments. They are designed as an additional, independent evidence layer to help qualified professionals prioritise and contextualise their work.

Movement is not damage

Measured surface displacement does not automatically indicate structural damage, and satellite analysis cannot assess the structural condition of any building or asset. Equally, absence of measured movement does not guarantee absence of risk: unmeasured surfaces, sub-resolution movement, and processes invisible to radar all exist.

History is not prophecy

Historical movement patterns do not guarantee future conditions. Past stability may not persist, and past movement may reflect completed processes. Forward-looking statements in reports are clearly framed as interpretation, not prediction.

Causation and liability

Satellite observations alone cannot conclusively determine the cause of movement, and nothing in a report determines claim validity, legal liability, insurability, or compliance. Such determinations remain with insurers, courts, and qualified professionals considering all available evidence.

Responsibility for decisions

Final decisions regarding any property, asset, claim, investment, or engineering action remain the responsibility of the client and its qualified professional advisers. Reports are one input to those decisions, used at the client's discretion and risk.
